Description:
This course is for personnel in the private sector interested in teaching the 10-hour and 30-hour construction safety and health outreach program to their employees and other interested groups. Special emphasis is placed upon those areas that are required in the 10-hour and 30-hour programs and those that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guideline. Your will be briefed on effective instructional approaches and the effective use of visual aids and handouts. This four day course will allow you to conduct both 10 and 20-hour construction safety course and issue completion cards. NOTE: Students who wish to participate as authorized trainers in the Outreach Program must successfully pass a written exam given at the end of the course and an oral presentation. Students must have completed the OSHA 510 Standards for the Construction Industry and have five (5) years of safety related experience as demonstrated on the Prerequisite Verification Form. Requires approval of safety experience by the director of OSHA Training Institute Education Center.
